Climb stairs Exercise

Are you a working professional? Try these exercises at your desk

If your job entails sitting for long hours at your desk and it’s difficult to take time out from your busy schedule to stay fit, here are a few quick exercises that could help you stay in shape to a great extent.

Climb stairs: Rather than take the lift, try climbing a few stairs. A good form of cardio exercise, climbing stairs can get you to burn quite a few calories. 

Take a walk: Try and take a quick walk every hour. Move away from your desk, stretch a bit.

Wrist exercises: Continuous use of your desktop/laptop can lead to health issues. Exercise your wrists by moving your palm in clock-wise and anti-clockwise direction.

Exercise your feet: Rotate your feet in clockwise and anti-clockwise direction

Exercise your fingers: Open your palm and stretch your fingers as much as possible and close in.

Neck exercises: Tilt your head sideways – left and right slowly for about five seconds.

Shoulder exercises: Stand erect, take a deep breath and roll both your shoulders clock wise and anti-clock wise direction

Lunges: Stand erect. Now move your right leg forward and bend your knee with your other leg behind.

Desk push-up: Place your hand firmly at the edge of your desk and push facing downwards extending your feet far behind.

It’s okay to feel overwhelmed, but remember—you are much stronger than you realize. Tough times may make you feel stuck or lost, but you’ve overcome challenges before and you will again. Life’s difficulties don’t define you; your resilience and determination do. Keep moving forward, even if it’s one small step at a time. Staying fit during life’s challenges isn’t just about physical strength—it’s about supporting your mind and spirit too.
